Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this presentation the participant will be able to do the following:

  1. List laboratory design phases which normally involve laboratory personnel.
  2. List the movement items used to evaluate laboratory efficiency.
  3. List items that can be designed for flexibility in the laboratory.
  4. List benefits of design flexibility.
  5. List requirements for an emergency eye wash station.
  6. List requirements for various biosafety levels.
  7. Define "ergonomics", relating to laboratory design.
  8. List areas of laboratory design that are affected by robotics.
